Secretaries of Central Asian and Indian Security Councils Meet in Astana

DUSHANBE, 19.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The second meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the countries of Central Asia and India took place on October 17 in Astana.
The participants exchanged views on current issues of international and regional security, including the development of cooperation in the areas of combating terrorism and extremism, illicit trafficking in weapons and drugs, transnational organized crime, as well as ensuring information and environmental security.
The parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, its impact on security and stability in the region.
The Secretary of the Security Council of Tajikistan Nasrullo Mahmudzoda made proposals on the agenda.
