Tajik and Uzbek Interior Ministries Discuss Cooperation
DUSHANBE, 16.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – From November 13 through November 15, Dushanbe hosted a meeting of the Interdepartmental Coordination Working Group of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Abdurahmon Alamshozoda and the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan Shavkat Rahmonov, as well as heads of the border internal affairs bodies of both countries.
The meeting focused on issues of cooperation in the fight against crime, terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and cybercrime.
It was also held an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
It should be noted that the documents adopted by the two ministries contain important areas of cooperation and have created a solid legal basis for the further development and expansion of bilateral ties in the fight against crime.
