DUSHANBE, 12.03.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On March 9, the President Emomali Rahmon at a meeting with representatives of the public and religious figures stated that fanaticism is a danger posing a serious threat to the present and future of Tajikistan and the region.
He noted that fanaticism is ignorance that brings only misfortune to the nation.
It should be noted that despite the state’s benevolent attitude towards all religions and madhhabs, especially the sacred religion of Islam, in recent years there has been an increase in the alarming actions of prejudiced individuals seeking to create religious differences and, on this basis, non-compliance with the norms of the Constitution and current legislation.
And this is at a time when, according to the teachings of famous scholars of the Islamic world, prejudice, ignorance and religious extremism have no connection with the humanistic teachings of Islam.
While most Islamic countries in the world are developing rapidly and, by studying modern sciences, even strive to conquer space.
It was emphasized that more than thirty-two years of experience of cooperation with the Islamic world states, especially with the Arab countries, shows that turning to science, the study and development of mathematical, natural and technical sciences, the use of advanced scientific achievements and the introduction of modern technologies lead them to unprecedented development, which leads to the disappearance of fossilized and outdated ideas.
“Take, for example, the pace of development of Muslim countries using the example of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia, which are developing rapidly. They are well aware that the saving factor of humanity is only science and training the country’s younger generation,” noted Emomali Rahmon.
According to expert analysis, deviation from the essence of religion, lack of understanding of its humanistic values becomes the basis for excesses, and sometimes even the involvement of citizens in superstitions and extremes.
Every people and nationality whose behavior shows signs of ignorance and superstition are deprived of a serene life.
This can also be observed in several countries around the world in today’s conditions.
Therefore, the people of Tajikistan were called upon to be aware and not to be deceived by the propaganda of the enemies of religion, rituals and madhhabs.
