Tajikistan and the UAE Expanding Cooperation in the Water and Energy Sector

DUSHANBE, 17.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates in the field of water and energy was discussed in New York by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma and the Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah Lootah.
The meeting took place within the framework of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF-2024), where the parties discussed current topics of cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates in the field of water energy and glacier protection as part of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP).
The parties expressed their readiness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the water and energy sector.
