DUSHANBE, 30.08.2017 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The women’s junior football team of Tajikistan (U-15) led by head coach Tojiddin Nabotov took third place at the international tournament “CAFA U-15 Girls Tournament 2017”, which completed in Hissar.

According to the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, the tournament, which was held on August 27 – 29, was attended by the women’s junior teams of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Kyrgyzstan. The tournament was held in a circular system in one round.

The matches of the final round took place on Tuesday, August 29. Tajik girls in a persistent game defeating their peers from Kyrgyzstan — 1: 0, took third place.

The final match was held between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Iran. The match ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of Uzbek girls, who having won in all three played matches, became the champion of the international tournament “CAFA U-15 Girls Tournament 2017”. Iran’s team with four points won silver medals.

At the closing ceremony of the tournament the winners and prize-winners were awarded medals, cups and diplomas.

The Organizing Committee of the tournament determined the best players to whom memorable cups were awarded. The best goalkeeper was named goalkeeper of the Iran’s team Fatemeh Ijadi. The best scorer was the captain of the team of Uzbekistan Tojinisokhon Rashidova, and her team-mate Diora Erkinova was named the best player of the tournament.
