Tajikistan and Qatar intend to sign agreements in the field of agriculture and food security
DUSHANBE, 15.01.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in the State of Qatar Khisrav Sohibzoda met with the Minister of Municipality and Environment of Qatar Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Rumaihi on January 11, 2018. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The two parties discussed issues of development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture and food security. There are also took place an exchange of views on the establishment of joint companies and industries in the field of processing agricultural products and promoting exports of agricultural products of Tajikistan to Qatar.
The parties noted the need to sign a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture and food security in the near future, to strengthen contacts between the business circles of the two countries in the agrarian and food industries and their participation in annual agro-exhibitions in Tajikistan and Qatar.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment of Qatar is one of the largest ministries of Qatar, whose sphere of competence also includes the implementation of state policy in the areas of agriculture and food security.
