Emomali Rahmon: None of Our Children Will Be Abandoned in a Foreign Country
DUSHANBE, 01.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – “For the first time such a large group of children has been returned from Iraq to Tajikistan,” noted the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Tajikistan Rajabmo Habibullozoda.
“We can definitely say that in the experience of other countries, which repatriated their children from Iraq and Syria, such a case has not happened yet. All children underwent a primary medical examination, the necessary medical assistance was provided to those in need,” Habibullozoda told reporters.
“It is not yet known how many Tajik children are in Syria, but as soon as their identities are established, work will begin on returning them to their homeland. As President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon said, none of our children will be abandoned in a foreign country,” Habibullozoda stressed.
“After carrying out the appropriate procedures, children who have relatives will be transferred to them, the rest to boarding homes,” Habibullozoda noted.
