Uzbek Doctors Complete Their Working Visit to Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 23.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Uzbek doctors who had arrived in Tajikistan to assist local doctors have completed their work and have returned to Uzbekistan on May 21, reports the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
Before departure, the doctors met with Deputy Ministers of Health Saida Umarzoda and Shodikhon Jamshed, who on behalf of the government and the ministry, thanked the doctors for their timely service.
Uzbek doctor Nematjon Ibragimov praised the government’s initiatives on the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 infected patients and noted that with the measures that have been placed, Tajikistan will be able to defeat the virus in the shortest possible time.
Ibragimov also praised the experience and knowledge of Tajik specialists in the detection and prevention of the virus.
Eight Uzbek doctors, including a pulmonologist, resuscitator, epidemiologist, virologist and nurses, arrived in Tajikistan on May 8 to provide practical assistance.
