Industry’s role in country’s GDP was highly evaluated
Dushanbe, 21.01.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). – At the beginning of the expanded meeting that is being held under the chairmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the country, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, the Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda reported on the results of socio-economic development in 2015.
It was emphasized that in 2015, the GDP has been increased by 6% to 48.4 billion somoni. 16.6 billion somoni came to state budget, which stands at 100,4% of the revenue plan.
The role of industry in the structure of GDP has been highly evaluated, because for the year, 468 new industrial enterprises with nearly 9 thousand jobs have been put into operation.
Electricity exports in 2015 compared to 2014 increased by 5.5%, its total volume equalized to 1.4 billion. kWh.
Agriculture sector has also been named one of the most important sectors of the national economy. The total volume of agricultural GDP in 2015 compared to 2014 increased by 3.2%.
It should be noted that in the course of the meeting, firstly will be heard the reports of heads of ministries and departments of economic, financial and socio-cultural sectors.
