Emomali Rahmon: «Export of fruits and vegetables from Tajikistan to Russia to be increased by 3 times»
Dushanbe, 02.25.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). — «Export of fruits and vegetables from Tajikistan to Russia in the current year should be increased by 1.5 times, and the following year will be increased by 3 times.»
It was one of the main assignments of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon voiced during yesterday’s and today’s working trips to Khuroson and Hissar districts.
President Emomali Rahmon stressed that “today, Russian Federation as our most important strategic partner is interested in increasing exports of fruit and vegetables from Tajikistan, it is also in our interests.»
According to the President of the country Emomali Rahmon, the necessary base for increasing the production of fruits and vegetables and their export from the country are prepared, thanks to the implementation of several government programs in the recent years, in the area of 75 thousand hectares have been laid new orchards and vineyards.
In addition, in the framework of the program adopted for 2016-2020 years, an area of over 20 thousand hectares of new orchards and vineyards will be planted. In most orchards and vineyards are grown export varieties, the fruits of which are in great demand abroad.
