Leader of the Nation received Chinese Special Representatives for Counterterrorism and Security Matters
Dushanbe, 29.02.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon received the Special Representative for Counterterrorism and Security Matters of the People’s Republic of China Cheng Guoping.
The issues of expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and China in the field of security were discussed.
«We consider your country as a reliable partner and a good neighbor that fully supports Tajikistan in the development of important sectors of society and security», — said at the beginning of the meeting the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The two sides expressed the hope that, together interacting and relying on the historical traditions of good neighborliness will be able to maintain stability, security in the two countries and the region.
The sides also exchanged views on the difficult situation in Afghanistan, the revival of economic and social life in the neighboring country.
A constructive discussion took place on other issues of mutual interest.
