Tajik Interior Minister meets with Chinese Special Representative for the Counter – Terrorism and Security Issues
Dushanbe, 29.02.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). - Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Lieutenant General Rahimzoda Ramazon held a meeting with the Special Representative for the Counter – Terrorism and Security Issues of the People’s Republic of China Cheng Guoping, in Dushanbe on February 29.
During the meeting the issues of strengthening of joint cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism, separatism, exchange of experience, exchange of information, training of highly qualified personnel and the provision of technical assistance were discussed.
Also, an exchange of views took place on assistance in the construction of a new building of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the construction of the joint anti-terrorist center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China in the city of Dushanbe.
Cheng Guoping said that Tajikistan’s security is the safety of China and we are ready to further strengthen cooperation in the fight against the three phenomena: terrorism, extremism and separatism.
It was noted that Tajikistan is at the forefront of the fight against negative phenomena and Chinese side will cooperate in all fields and continue its assistance.
