Tajikistan and China — one family
Dushanbe, 23.02.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). — The joint concert of artists of Tajikistan and China titled “Tajikistan and China — one family” was held yesterday in the Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after S. Ayni in Dushanbe.
The concert was organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Tajikistan, the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan and Cultural Center “Confucius” at the Tajik National University.
Assistant to the President of Tajikistan on Issues of Social Development and Public Relations Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda, having congratulated the Chinese people on behalf of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on Chinese New Year, noted that over the past 10 years, the cooperation between the two countries reached high levels. “Tajikistan is a close neighbor of China and values the friendship that lasts many years, and by every year is strengthened more and more”, — A. Rahmonzoda said.
“The event is timed to the Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival, which is usually celebrated on the 15th day after the New Year. The Lantern Festival is a commemoration of the arrival of spring, the renewal of the earth and the unification of the family. So we decided to hold this concert as a sign that China and Tajikistan — one family”, —Ambassador of China in Tajikistan Yue Bin said in his welcoming speech.
Continuing the theme of cooperation, the Chinese Ambassador noted that thanks to the efforts of leaders of the two countries — Emomali Rahmon and Xi Jinping strategic relations of Tajikistan and China are at a very high level. “Putting-forward idea on revival of the centuries-old Silk Road — trade route, connecting China and Europe, corresponds to strategy of the development of Tajikistan”,- declared Yue Bin.
“For the fourth consecutive year we hold a concert of “Tajikistan and China — one family” with the aim to familiarize the Tajik and Chinese people with the cultures of the two countries. The idea to present the cultural values of their country united the Tajik and Chinese students, as well as teachers. Such events serve as a peculiar bridge for cultural cooperation”, — Confucius Director Dya Dean Feng.
“By my experience I can say that Chinese people are very solid, friendly and always patriotically tuned. I consider that today’s event will only serve for the benefit of our youth and people, as we not only are establishing cooperation in the field of culture, but also exchange a certain experience”, — the Chairman of Committee on Women and Family Affairs Qosimzoda Idigul Tagho shared her opinion.
Within the framework of the event was also held an exhibition at which were presented household items, ancient musical instruments, and handicrafts.
