Beginning of reconstruction of the Isfara-Konibodom-Jabbor Rasulov highway
Dushanbe, 24.03.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). — In the city of Konibodom of Sughd Region, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited the construction site of the highway Isfara-Konibodom-Jabbor Rasulov, where he gave the signal for the reconstruction of this road section.
The total value of construction works at the first phase of the Project of reconstruction of road sections — Khujand-Isfara amount to 45 million US dollars. From this amount, 38 million 250 thousand of loan and 6 million 70 thousand US dollars — World Bank grant.
The customer is Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the contractor — “China Railway Group Corporation».
The road consists of 6 sections, the length of the two-lane road is 68 km and width is 12 meters, and in some parts of the road width up to 22 meters.
The reconstruction works will be completed in 2 years.
President Emomali Rahmon said that along with reconstruction works in those areas where the settlements are will also be carried out track lighting.
