Leader of the Nation opens Palace of Culture in Asht district
Dushanbe, 25.03.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). In Asht district of Sughd Region, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon attended and also inaugurated a new building of the Palace of Culture, which has been constructed in the park named after Mahmudjon Vohidov.
As a sign of support of constructive policies of the Government, President Emomali Rahmon was met by residents with warmth and hospitality.
During familiarization with the new cultural institution, the President was informed that the construction of the Palace of Culture was launched in March 2014 by the Office of Capital Construction of Sughd Region, by the total cost of 12 mln. somoni.
The building of the Palace of Culture consists of two floors, has a main hall with 800 seats, operating rooms, small rooms for training, assembly hall and a basement.
The building is decorated in the national architectural style, its facade is decorated with 18 columns and doors engraved with carvings.
In the courtyard of the Palace of Culture, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held an open meeting with cultural workers and residents of the district, who came to meet the Leader of the Nation.
President Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the public figures of the region for the warm welcoming and support to creative policy of the State and Government of the country, calling the construction and inauguration of various facilities and the creation of favorable conditions as a sign of respect to the country’s hard-working residents of the district.
In their speeches, residents of the district expressed their gratitude to Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon for all creative efforts and care.
