Dushanbe, 21.03.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). — The Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon today attended celebrations dedicated to Navruz holiday.

A solemn ceremony has been held at the Navruzgoh complex.

In honor of International Navruz holiday, Navruzgoh complex was decorated, residents presented their achievements and good Navruz ceremonies, national traditions and customs, national cuisine and the works of folk craftsmen.

The Leader of the Nation and the Head of the Tajiks of the World — Emomali Rahmon was welcomed by the numerous residents and foreign visitors with particular warmth.

President Emomali Rahmon delivered speech and congratulated the participants with the world blessed Navruz, a holiday of nature awakening, the beginning of the new achievements, aspirations of spring, new plans and intentions.

It was noted that “Navruz as a nationwide holiday is considered for our people as a historical heritage, as it went down by our ancestors.»

President Emomali Rahmon, told about such kind of humanistic qualities of Navruz as a good, forgiveness, love and creation, and noted that by the recognition of the United Nations, Navruz holiday became as a global celebration and this fact shows that the people of the world revere this truly cultural and humanistic celebration and recognize it as a tool for peace, stability, purity, fidelity, beauty and awakening.

President Emomali Rahmon also noted that «we, the glorious people of Tajikistan, are happy and proud that the international community recognizes the real national holiday as a great achievement of the human intellect.»

At the end of his speech the Head of State Emomali Rahmon once again congratulated all compatriots, residents of our independent state and visitors on the great holiday — the International Navruz, and wished them happiness and prosperity.
