Dushanbe, 27.04.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon cut the symbolic ribbon and officially opened the state gymnasium №1, which has been constructed in the village Sari guzar, rural community Dukoni of Nurek.
On the occasion of the opening of a new type of educational institution the Head of State was welcomed by studenta with a cultural program. They also expressed gratitude to the President of the country for peace and tranquility, as well as for the care for education.
The gymnasium was built and commissioned on the basis of a bilateral agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China.
Construction works were launched in 2013 with the laying of the cornerstone by the Leader of the Nation and completed within three years.
The 30 million TJS gymnasium is designed for 360 pupils and equipped with all educational inventories.
The gymnasium building includes 6 technical rooms, 11 classrooms, a library, a modern gym, a dining room for 92 persons and a classroom for learning traditional crafts.
In the courtyard of the gymnasium was built a football pitch, volleyball and tennis courts meeting international standards. The school has attracted 20 teachers and 15 technicians.
President Emomali Rahmon informed that the gymnasium was built in accordance with international standards and to meet all the architectural intricacies related to the sphere of education.
For heating and maintaining the required temperature in the classrooms modern and environmentally safe building materials have been used in the construction. At the same time, an autonomous heating system has been established that provides heat to the building during the winter period.
