OIC General Secretariat Welcomes Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan Presidents Signing of International Border Delimitation Treaty and the Khujand Declaration of Perpetual Friendship

DUSHANBE, 02.04.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. “The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcome the signing by Their Excellencies President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan, and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan of a treaty delimitating the tripartite border point among their countries and the Khujand Declaration of perpetual friendship at a summit of the three presidents in Khujand, Tajikistan, on Monday 31 March 2025.
The OIC Secretary-General, Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, offered his congratulations to the three countries, their presidents, and their people for this historic achievement which culminates the delimitation of the borders between the three countries and the negotiations to settle the more than three-decades-long border disputes and gives a new momentum to the strategic relations among the three countries.
Against the backdrop of the OIC’s commitment to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, harmony, and cooperation among its Member States, the OIC Secretary-General looks forward to this significant achievement among these sisterly countries contributing to reinforcing the foundations of security, stability, and economic cooperation among the countries of the region.”
