Meeting of the Leader of the Nation with Director General of Glencore International AG Ivan Glasenberg
Dushanbe, 20.04.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Director General of the Glencore International AG of Switzerland Ivan Glasenberg.
At the meeting, the activities of «Glencore» in Tajikistan and its cooperation with the country’s large industrial enterprises have been recognized as important, and it was stressed that there still exist a number of untapped opportunities and resources for the expansion of cooperation.
The International company «Glencore» since 2007 has a cooperation agreement with the State Unitary Enterprise «Tajik Aluminum Company» and contributes to the supply of large industrial plant of the country with argil and primary aluminum.
The sides exchanged views on strengthening of cooperation in order to boost the production capacity of the industrial enterprises and increase investments in the Tajik economy.
