Tajik Ambassador presented his letters of credence to the President of the European Council
Dushanbe, 16.04.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the European Union Erkinkhon Rahmatullozoda on April 15 has presented his letters of credence to the President of the European Council Donald Tusk.
According to MFA Information Department, with a special warmth remembering his last meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Brussels, Donald Tusk congratulated the Ambassador on his highly responsible appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.
In the course of the conversation the parties highly assessed the level of bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and the European Union and stressed their willingness to continue to take measures for strengthening effective relationships, on the top of which are the issues of security, fight against modern challenges and threats.
The newly-designated Ambassador of Tajikistan noted a positive role of the EU programs in the country, such as BOMCA, CADAP and Multi-annual indicative program, expressed his gratitude for the assistance and support provided by the European Investment Bank in the implementation of the CASA-1000 — one of the most important regional projects.
It was stressed that the expansion of the implementation of similar mutually beneficial projects will have a positive role for maintaining peace and stability, as well as sustainable development in the region as a whole.
At the end of the meeting Ambassador Erkinhon Rahmutullozoda stressed that exchange of visits between the leaders of the European Union and the Republic of Tajikistan will open new horizons for the development of the mutually beneficial relations between the parties.
