Dushanbe, 08.04.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. A joint meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Organizing Committee for the holding of celebration of the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was held today under the chairmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the country H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon.

The meeting reviewed the process of implementation  of the state budget in the first quarter of this year, the fulfillment of Government of Tajikistan’s resolution on 31 January 2015 — «On celebration of the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan», and «On holding of national celebrations on the occasion of the National Unity Day and the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan» on 19 December 2015 as well as the process of preparations for implementation of the project for construction of the regional power transmission line from Central Asia to South Asia (CASA-1000).

The Finance Minister Abdusalom Qurboniyon reported on the finance situation and stressed that over the first quarter of this year the national budget revenues were fulfilled by 93.5%, and received 3.4 billion somoni.

Prime Minister of the country Qohir Rasulzoda and other responsible persons reported on preparation for the celebration of major public holidays.

It was noted that a number of large industrial enterprises such as the cement plant with annual capacity of 1.2 million tons, the company for the production of gypsum board production with annual capacity of 3 million sheets, the plant for production of cryolite, the plant for production aluminum fluoride, and the plant for production of sulfuric acid in Yovon district of Khatlon Region, the gold refining plant in Vahdat township, a number of textile mills with a capacity of 52 thousand tons of cotton fiber in Danghara district, and with a capacity of 4 thousand tons of cotton fiber in Farkhor district, the metallurgical plant with a capacity 150 thousand tons in Hisor town as well as the section of railway Vahdat-Yovon, the second line of the Dushanbe-2 combined heat and power (CHP) plant would be introduced into operation in the near future.

In general, at the Jubilee year 161 industrial enterprises that will create more than 10,000 jobs are expected to be introduced into operation in the country.

On the eve of the national holiday in the cities and regions 155 educational institutions, 46 sports facilities, 8 medical institutions, 9 power projects and 8 transport facilities will be put in commission.

The Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonali Usmonzoda also reported on the implementation of activities related to the laying of the cornerstone to the regional project of power transmission line CASA-1000.

President of the country Emomali Rahmon gave a concrete instruction to the responsible persons of the Government, heads of corresponding structures for carrying out the activities at the regional level.
