Tajikistan, UNODC discuss cooperation prospects
Dushanbe, 25.04.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. On April 22 Foreign Minister of Tajikistan held a meeting with Under-Secretary-General, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Yuri Fedotov on the sidelines of the Special Session of the General Assembly on the World Drug Problem, which took place in New-York on April 19.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, the two sides have expressed satisfaction over the positive development of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNODC and underscored the need to strengthen cooperation in the fight against the challenges related to the illegal drug trafficking.
The sides also discussed the issue of financial support to the law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan in the fight against drug trafficking.
