Armenia will host exercises of Special Forces of CSTO CRRF “Cobalt-2016″
Dushanbe, 25.05.2016 / NIAT “Khovar” /. Special tactical exercises of the formations of Special Forces, Collective rapid reaction forces (CRRF) of the Organization of collective security Treaty “Cobalt-2016″ will be held may 24-26 in Armenia, reported on the official website of the CSTO.
The teachings of the departments of internal Affairs bodies (police) of the member States of the CSTO, members of the Special Forces units of the CSTO CRRF will be held on the theme: “Maintenance of operational actions and special operations group forces and means of FSIS, in cooperation with the military contingents of the collective rapid reaction force”.
It is reported that the exercises will be held at the training center “Baghramyan” of the Ministry of defense of Armenia, to observe the course will be CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha.
According to the release, the exercise will be worked out joint operations to curb the activities of terrorist groups, overlapping of channels of illegal trafficking of weapons, explosives and drugs, will improve operational and combat training of personnel when performing tasks. The exercise will involve combat and military transport helicopters.
“The main objectives of the exercise are working out and improving the skills of military special forces internal troops of the internal Affairs bodies (police), controls (operational groups), highlighted in the composition of units of special forces of CSTO CRRF in search, and neutralization (destruction) terrorists, as well as the organization of interaction and comprehensive support of the involved forces and means”, — is spoken in the message.
The participants will be representatives of special units of internal Affairs bodies (police), internal troops of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
