Astana to host the Women’s World Boxing Championship-2016
Dushanbe, 19.05.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Women’s World Boxing Championship – 2016 will be held on May 19 – 27 in Astana, Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kazakh Boxing Federation reports.
Tajikistan will be represented by the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games — 2012 Mavzuna Chorieva and bronze medalist of the Asian Championship Shoira Zulkarnaeva.
In the World Championship from each country can participate up to ten athletes — one in each weight category. Berths to Rio will be played only in three Olympic categories — from 48 to 51 kg, from 57 to 60 and from 69 to 75 kg.
The berth won at the world championship has a priority over all others.
