Today morning, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon took part in an important political event — national referendum on introduction of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon visited the polling station number #15 of Ismoili Somoni district and voted in the national referendum on introduction of amendments and additions to a number of articles of the Constitution.

The residents of Mahmadullo Kholov community where a polling station #15 of the voting district number #2 of Ismoili Somoni is located have jointly taken part in this referendum like all the people of the country. 1534 voters have been registered in the mentioned polling station of which 4 persons have voted for the first time.

The broad participation of the people in the referendum shows the activity of citizens in the political and social life of independent Tajikistan, high level of knowledge, culture and sense of responsibility, and indicates to the resident’s support of an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and socio-economic stability and cultural development of society.
