Dushanbe, 16.05.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /.The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon today on the second day of his official visit has met with representatives of business and financial circles of the State of Kuwait.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has called today the possibility of meeting an important step in the development and strengthening of mutually beneficial trade and economic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Kuwait.

Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, taking advantage of the presence of a wide range of representatives of Kuwaiti companies, in order to expand and strengthen relations told about the economic situation in Tajikistan and its capabilities.

It was stressed that Tajikistan today as part of its national long-term development strategy is implementing major beneficial economic programs, the implementation of which requires additional foreign investment.

It was noted that for our country projects and plans in hydropower spheres, light and food industries, mining, oil and gas, processing of cotton fiber and primary aluminum, construction, tourism and transport infrastructure, production and supply of drinking water to foreign countries are of priority importance.

After a meaningful speech of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on investment opportunities and the development of profitable joint projects on behalf of the Kuwaiti businessmen delivered speech the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Kuwait Ali Mohammed Thunayan Al-Ghanim and appreciated the geographical location of Tajikistan, its great economic opportunities in Central Asia and the region. It was hoped that in the future, using unrealized opportunities for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries will be developed and implemented a variety of trade and economic projects.

According to the Kuwaiti businessmen, meeting at the highest level between the heads of governments and mutually beneficial relations between the countries have created favorable conditions to expand this relationship and it is expected that in future relations will be established at the appropriate level.

At the end of meeting Head of state Emomali Rahmon noted that Government of Tajikistan is ready to study and to support proposals regarding Kuwaiti businessmen to establish mutually beneficial cooperation for the development of tourism, especially mountain tourism and other priority areas.
