Rahmon Ozoda Emomali elected member of Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan
Dushanbe, 30.05.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /. Chief of the Executive Office of the President of Tajikistan Rahmon Ozoda Emomali has been unanimously elected as a member of Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli (Upper House of Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan during a joint session of the majlis (council) of people’s deputies of the Dushanbe City and its districts on Sunday in Dushanbe.
We recall that at the fifth session of the majlis (council) of people’s deputies of Dushanbe, which was held on 14 April, candidacy of Rahmon Ozoda Emomali was proposed by deputies of the city majlis for membership in Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli — is the Upper House of the Parliament of Tajikistan, which consists of 33 members, 25 of whom are elected by voting at the sessions of deputies of GBAO, Sughd and Khatlon Regions, districts of republican subordination and Dushanbe City. 8 members of the upper house of Parliament are appointed by the President of the country.
