Roundtable “CASA-1000 and prospects of the development of regional energy cooperation” in Dushanbe
Dushanbe, 04.05.2016 /NIAT “Khovar” /. Roundtable discussion “CASA-1000 and prospects of the development of regional energy cooperation” will be held on May 11, 2016 at the National Library of Tajikistan.
It is expected that this international-level event will be opened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda. It is also expected that the roundtable will be attended by the World Bank representative, UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for the Asia and Pacific countries, as well as by the European Union’s representative.
Moderator of the event is the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the representative of the World Bank for the CASA-1000 project, Minister of Energy and Water Supply of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Minister of Water Resources and Energy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as well as the representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Islamic Development Bank, European Investment Bank, the Ministry of State for International Development of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (DFID) and the US Agency for International Development will make reports at this event.
