Tajik-Uzbek Foreign Ministers hold talks in Tashkent
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirodjiddin Aslov met today with his Uzbek counterpart Abdulaziz Komilov, on the sidelines of a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers hosted by Tashkent.
The two reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Aslov and Komilov also exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries within the frameworks of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
It was noted that Tajikistan is interested to consistently develop a broad-based partnership of mutual trust with its nearest neighbor Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the ministers also discussed issues of cooperation in the fields of economy, transport and communications, cultural and humanitarian sphere.
