Tajikistan CCER announces preliminary results of nationwide constitutional referendum
Dushanbe, 23.05.2016 / NIAT “Khovar” /.The Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of Tajikistan summed up the preliminary results of the nationwide referendum on introduction of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of Tajikistan Khudoyorzoda Bakhtiyor Tavar reported, to vote in a nationwide referendum on introduction of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan attended 4 million 38 thousand 183 people, representing 92% of the voting list.
Thus, the nationwide referendum on introduction of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan is considered valid.
The Central Commission for Elections and Referenda has calculated the votes cast for and against the issue of referendum, the preliminary results of which are as follows:
For — Over 3 million 814 thousand 477 people or 94.5%
Against — 134 thousand 171 people or — 3.3%.
