Tajikistan — EDB agreed to cooperate in financial and banking sector
Dushanbe, 19.05.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdusalom Qurboniyon on May 17 has met with representatives of the Eurasian Development Bank headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank M. Korzhov here in Dushanbe.
According to Finance Ministry, during the meeting the parties have exchanged views on topical issues and prospects of cooperation in banking, financial and other spheres of activity.
The parties have discussed the state of implementation of joint programs, as well as the provision of financial and technical assistance to Tajikistan by international financial organizations.
It has been noted that all measures undertaken by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan are aimed at reducing poverty level and increasing the growth of welfare of the people of the country.
The parties have paid special attention to the development of entrepreneurship and business, the issues of private sector development, introduction of new technologies and exchange of experience between the countries of the region at various levels and in the appropriate forms, which could contribute to the economic development of Tajikistan.
