Leader of the Nation meets UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Permanent Representative to Tajikistan Alexander Zuev
Dushanbe, 15.06.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Permanent Representative to Tajikistan Alexander Zuev on the occasion of the end of his term of office.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction over the high level of cooperation with the United Nations institutes and noted that Tajikistan is interested in further development of relations in order to implement the Millennium Development Goals.
Zuev thanked President Emomali Rahmon for constructive and fruitful cooperation policy of the Government of Tajikistan to the United Nations Development Programme and stressed that will further take all necessary steps to ensure that these relations in the future are also continued at the appropriate level in the interests of both parties.
The parties evaluated the expansion of cooperation andtechnical assistance to Tajikistan as an important factor in achieving social and economic development of the country.
The sides also expressed confidence that Tajikistan’s cooperation with various UN agencies will continue to be fruitful and effective.
