UEFA Euro Cup group stage Switzerland-France match ends goalless
Dushanbe, 20.06.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. A Euro 2016 group stage match between Switzerland and France has ended goalless, with both teams securing their passage to the last 16, TASS reports.
The game was played at Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille on Sunday.
France, the Group A leader with seven points, will play in Lyon on June 26 with a team taking third place in Group C, D or E.
Switzerland, second in the Group with five points, will play in Saint-Etienne on June 25 with a team taking second place in Group C.
The 2016 UEFA Euro Cup is held in France between June 10 and July 10 with matches played in 10 different locations, namely in Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse.
A total of 24 European national teams qualified for the Euro Cup final tournament in 2016, after the contestants’ format, which was used since 1996, was decided to be extended from 16 to 24 teams.
