Air Company “Tajik Air” holds talks for acquisition of a new-generation aircraft
Dushanbe, 25.07.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Air Company “Tajik Air” plans to replenish its fleet with new generation of airliners. Currently, negotiations are underway with several companies for purchase of aircrafts on lease basis. In particular, it reached an agreement with the China Development Bank. It was said today during a press conference by the General Director of OJSC “Tajik Air” Khairullo Rahimov.
Today, the company’s fleet consists of 35 aircrafts, of which 28 are in store and 6 are in operation. 10.5 million TJS was spent for the maintenance of airworthiness of aircrafts and their technical upkeep in the first half of the year.
“We have a multitype fleet; there are American airliners Boeing-757, 737. There is also a Chinese aircraft MA-60 — a comfortable, economical and safe one which is intended for local air traffic. Also we have used on local airlines Antonov An-28. In total, to date the company operates 6 air planes”, — added Kh. Rahimov.
