Leader of the Nation received Chief Executive Officer of «Salini Impregilo» Dr. Pietro Salini
Dushanbe, 01.07.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /. The Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received today the Chief Executive Officer of «Salini Impregilo» S.p.A., Dr. Pietro Salini at the Palace of the Nation.
The two sides discussed the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and «Salini Impregilo» Group in the hydropower field, including cooperation in the construction of Rogun HPP.
It was pointed out that according to the results of the World Bank study on technical-economic feasibility and socio-ecological impact of Roghun HPP project, the construction of the power plant has been assessed efficient from a safety, technical, economic, environmental and social points of view.
Considering a rich experience and broad investment opportunities of this construction corporation, «Salini Impregilo» S.p.A. that has won an international tender for the construction of Rogun HPP has been named a reliable partner of Tajikistan in the continuation of the construction of Rogun HPP. In this context, it was informed that Tajikistan and «Salini Impregilo» S.p.A. have signed a cooperation contract in the amount of 3.9 billion US dollars for the designing, procurement and construction of Rogun HPP facilities.
The sides expressed confidence that the activities of «Salini Impregilo» Group will become another factor of economic development and will help attract this powerful construction company for the implementation of other investment projects in our country.
