President Emomali Rahmon expressed condolences to Italian Prime Minister over victims of earthquake
Dushanbe, 25.08.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon sent a telegram of condolences to the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Matteo Renzi, which reads as follows:
“Your Excellency,
It was with deep shock and sadness that I learned about a devastating earthquake that hit central Italy, which claimed dozens of lives and caused destruction and huge material damage.
In these difficult times for the friendly people of Italy, on behalf of the people of Tajikistan and on my own behalf, I convey deepest condolences to the friends and relatives of those killed in the natural disaster, and I wish a speedy recovery for those who were injured”.
