Russian swimmer Yulia Yefimova wins Olympic silver in women’s 200m breaststroke
Dushanbe, 12.08.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Russian swimmer Yulia Yefimova has won silver in women’s 200m breaststroke at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Yefimova finished the distance in 2:21.97 surpassed by Japanese swimmer Rie Kaneto (2:20.30). China’s Shi Jinglin won bronze (2:22.28)? according to TASS.
This is the 18th medal for the Russian national team at the Rio Olympics. Russian athletes already won 4 gold, 8 silvers and 6 bronze medals.
Yefimova also won silver in women’s 100m breaststroke at the Rio Olympics. She is the 2012 Olympics bronze medalist, four-time world champion, three-time European champion. Yefimova also won European Short Course Swimming Championships three times.
