Japanese Budo Delegation will visit Dushanbe on Satarday
Dushanbe, 18.10.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On October 22-23, 2016, the Japanese Budo Delegation will visit Tajikistan. They will demonstrate Japanese martial arts – Judo and Kendo at the Wrestling Hall “Zurkhona” on October 22 at 14:00 and Japanese martial arts training session in cooperation with budo federations of the Republic of Tajikistan on October 23, Japanese Embassy in Tajikistan reports.
“The delegation consists of eight budo experts from Kodokan Judo Institute and All Japan Kendo Federation. The main purpose of the Delegation visiting Tajikistan is to strengthen the friendly relationship between Japan and Tajikistan, and to promote mutual understanding among two countries through introducing Japanese traditional martial arts-budo”, — reads the statement.
Kodokan Judo Institute, which is the origin of Judo and has spread in about 200 countries in the world, was founded by Kano Jigoro Shihan in 1882. The main aims of the Institute are to study, teach, develop and diffuse Kodokan Judo, as well as to contribute to the strengthening of the body and the spirit of Judo athletes, especially for juveniles.
Founded in 1954, All Japan Kendo Federation (AJKF) promotes Kendo and represents amateur Kendo in Japan. The main aims of the organization are to exercise general control over and represent the amateur Kendo (including Iaido and Jodo) circles.
The event will be co-hosted by Japan Foundation, Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Tajikistan, Committee of Youth, Sports and Tourism under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kadoka Judo Institute, All Japan Kendo Federation, Judo Federation of Tajikistan, Disability Sport Federation of Tajikistan and Federation of Karate Kyokushinkai of Tajikistan.
