The deputies of Majlisi namoyandagon on October 26 have considered and passed the draft of Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation” on the basis of which to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will be given the status of the Founder of Independent Tajikistan.

Emomali Nasriddinzoda, the deputy of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli, having commented the draft of Constitutional Law, noted that on the basis of Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation” for the President of the country Emomali Rahmon provides a number of privileges, in particular from now on in the meeting rooms for the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will be allocated a specially equipped place of honor. In addition, the Fund of the Leader of the Nation will be formed, as well as the Order and State Prize of the Leader of the Nation will be established.

The development and passing of the draft of Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation” will make contribution to the formation of legal culture of society and in increasing sense of patriotism and loyalty of the people. The draft of Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation” developed by four deputies of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan consists of a preamble and 19 articles.

With the passing of Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation”, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation” that was adopted by the deputies of Parliament of Tajikistan in December 2015, shall be considered invalid.
