Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan delivered a statement at the meeting of the 3rd Committee of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly
Dushanbe, 07.10.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov on October 6 has delivered a statement on international drug control at the meeting of the 3rd Committee of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, MFA Information Department reports.
In his statement the Permanent Representative underlined that one of the conditions for an effective response to this challenge is the establishment of a global multilevel system of international cooperation with the United Nations as a coordinating center.
He also noted that the important step in the implementation of the anti-drug policy of Tajikistan became the approval of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan entitled «National Strategy to combat illicit drug-trafficking in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2013-2020».
