Ali Rifat Koksal, Turkish Ambassador: “Turkish companies invested in different areas of Tajikistan totaling more than 150 mln. US dollars in the last 6 years”
Dushanbe, 23.11.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. “Turkish companies invested in different areas of Tajikistan totaling more than 150 mln. US dollars in the last 6 years”,- announced yesterday, November 22 the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Tajikistan Ali Rifat Koksal following the presenting of his credentials to the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon.
According to him, in 2015 Turkish companies invested more than 50 mln. US dollars. “Turkish construction companies had secured more than 600 mln. US dollars of contracts in Tajikistan”, — he said.
He also added that Turkey ranks first in Tajikistan’s goods export. The trade turnover between the two countries amounts more than 200 mln. US dollars.
