Champions League Results: Real Madrid, Leicester, Monaco, Leverkusen, Juventus advance
Dushanbe, 23.11.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Here is the latest round of UEFA Champions League results from Matchday 5 on Tuesday Nov. 22, 2016. Real Madrid, AS Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen, Leicester City and Juventus book their spots in the knockout stage of the competition.

Group E
CSKA Moscow 1 — Bayer Leverkusen 1
Kevin Volland managed to put the German side ahead on the 16th minute, while Bebras Natcho scored the equalising goal for the home side fourteen minutes from time.
Monaco 2 – Tottenham Hotspur 1
Tottenham’s poor run of results in the UEFA Champions League continued today with a 2-1 defeat against Monaco. Djibril Sidibe scored the opening goal for Monaco on the 48th minute. Harry Kane managed to put the English side level on the 52nd minute. However, Monaco regained the lead a minute later through Thomas Lemar.
Group F
Borussia Dortmund 8 – Legia Waszawa 4
These two sides managed to break a Champions League record after scoring twelve goals between them. Shinji Kagawa and Marco Reus scored a double each for Dortmund, while Nuri Sahin, Ousmane Dembele and Felix Passlack were also on target. On the other hand, Alexander Prijovic scored a double for the Polish side and Michal Kurchazyk and Nemanja Nikolic scored a goal each.
Sporting CP 1 – Real Madrid 2
Real Madrid went ahead on the 29th minute through Raphael Varane. Adrian Silva scored a temporarily equaliser for Sporting on the 80th minute. Seven minutes later, Karim Benzema scored the winning goal for Zidane’s side.
Group G
FC Koebenhavn 0 – Porto 0
In a balanced match, neither team could find a way past the other as both sides had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
Leicester City 2 – Club Brugge 1
Leicester City are the winners of group G after recording a 2-1 win over Club Brugge. Shinji Okazaki and Riyad Mahrez put the English champions two goals ahead. Jose Izquierdo pulled one back for the Belgians.
Group H
Sevilla 1 – Juventus 3
Nicolas Pareja managed to put Sevilla ahead after nine minutes. However, the hosts suffered a setback when Franco Vazquez was shown a red card after receiving two cautions in the space of five minutes. Juventus made the most of their extra man and scored three times through Claudio Marchisio, Leonardo Bonnuci and Mario Mandzukic.
Dinamo Zagreb 0 – Lyon 1
Despite recording a narrow win through a second half goal from Alexandre Lacazette, Lyon are out of the competition, as Juventus and Sevilla confirm their participation in the next round.
