Dushanbe and Tashkent to resume flights in January 2017
Dushanbe, 01.12.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Flights between Dushanbe and Tashkent will be resumed in January 2017. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the head of the Department of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmon Yusuf.
“Protocol on the resumption of this flight was signed between the Transport Ministries of the two countries yesterday, November 30”, — he said.
Rahmon Yusuf has noted that according to the signed Protocol on cooperation, the flight Dushanbe-Tashkent-Dushanbe will be carried out twice a week by air companies “Somon Air” and “Uzbekistan Havo Yullari”.
“Transporters also discussed the profitability and the number of possible future flights, the geography of flights that does not rule out the possibility of mutual flights from other cities of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan”, — added Rahmon Yusuf.
It should be noted that the delegation of the Uzbekistan got familiar with the activities of the Dushanbe International airport on the preparedness of accepting various types of aircraft.
We will note that the flights between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were terminated in 1992.
