President of Tajikistan: “The genuine goals of the foreign policy of Tajikistan are aimed at the protection of national interests in the international stage”
DUSHNABE, 23.12.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. “The formulation and implementation of open-doors foreign policy is one of the great achievements of our national State in the period of our independence”, — said on December 22 the President of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon in his annual address to the Parliament of the country and expressed that: “thanks to our balanced foreign policy, Tajikistan ensured its deserved reputation in the international stage in this period and established multifaceted relations and cooperation with the countries of the world, international and regional organizations and international financial institutions”.
According to the Head of State, the genuine goals of the foreign policy of Tajikistan remain unchanged and are aimed at the protection of national interests in the international stage, ensuring favorable conditions overseas for the sustainable development of the country and promoting the strengthening of the pillars of State independence and sovereignty of Tajikistan Therefore, promoting environment of trust and security of our country with all neighboring countries through expansion and strengthening of good neighborliness, the use of political and diplomatic tools, consistent efforts towards addressing urgent regional issues will remain as the core of Tajikistan’s foreign policy.
“Tajikistan established friendly relations and multidimensional beneficial cooperation with all countries and has been expanding constructive friendly ties with them based on mutual respect and equality”, — said Leader of the Nation and noted that: “Accordingly, we will further undertake practical measures towards the expansion of our cooperation with development partners, international and regional organizations and international financial institutions”.
