Tajik judoka Jahongir Majidov ranks third place in the world judo ranking
Dushanbe, 06.12.2016 /NIAT «Khovar»/. Tajik judoka Jahongir Majidov ranked third place in the world ranking cadets of the International Judo Federation (IJF), scoring 282 points.
Hungarian Roland Goz and Ukrainian Nikita Matlashevsky ranked first and second places. Second among representatives of Tajikistan in the ranking of cadets is Yoqubjon Nazirov (81 kg, 5th place, 260 points), third — Shamoili Jahongir (73 kg, 11th place, 176 points).
We will recall that in this season the national team of Tajikistan played at the Judo Asian Championship among cadets in Kochi (India). The bronze medalist among cadets became Jahongir Majidov (81 kg). At the duel for third place, he first took over the Indian Paramjeet, and then won over Faris Dendini of Saudi Arabia. Umed Asmatullobekov (50 kg) finished fifth, losing to Kyrgyzstani judoka in a duel for “bronze”. Shamoili Jahongir (73 kg) also became fifth. He lost the battle for the “bronze” to Korean judoka.
