Zidane named as France Football’s French Coach of the Year
DUSHANBE, 10.01.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Zinedine Zidane has been crowned as France Football’s 2016 French Coach of the Year, as voted by the magazine’s panel of experts.
The Whites’ coach receives this accolade in recognition of the excellent job he has done at the Real Madrid helm, where he has guided the team to a Champions League title, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup, as well as overseeing a 39-game unbeaten run.
After scooping France Football’s Best French Player award in 1998 and 2002, this latest distinction sees Zidane become the fourth Frenchman to have won both accolades, following in the footsteps of Luis Fernández, Didier Deschamps and Laurent Blanc.
