Briefing dedicated to the United Nations General Assembly Resolution – International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” (2018-2028) in Washington
DUSHANBE, 27.02.2017. (NIAT Khovar). On February 24, 2017 a briefing was organized in the World Bank by the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United States of America and in cooperation with the World Bank Group dedicated to the United Nations General Assembly Resolution – International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” (2018-2028).
According to the MFA Information Department, during the briefing Ambassador of Tajikistan in USA Farhod Salim, Executive Director of World Bank for Central Asia and Caucasus Werner Gruber and Head of the Office of World Bank for water cooperation Ragini Dalal delivered a speech and reiterate the role of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” (2018-2028) in ensuring sustainable development.
During his speech, the Ambassador marked the international initiatives of Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon on water issues.
