Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, which reads as follows:

Significant transformations have taken place in recent years in the friendly relations between Tajikistan and Japan that clearly indicate to the mutual desire to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between both countries in various fields of mutual interest.
We are expressing our satisfaction with the present level of relations with your country.
