DUSHANBE, 15.02.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The meeting of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon with the leadership, activists and responsible persons of different areas of the local executive body of state authority of the city of Dushanbe took place today at the Kokhi Borbad State Complex.

The meeting was attended by the members of the Government, the leadership of the Executive office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, law enforcement agencies, local executive body of state authority of the city of Dushanbe and its districts, representatives of various metropolitan institutions and organizations, businessmen, intellectuals, representatives of creative and religious associations, political parties and the mass media.

President Emomali Rahmon delivered statement to the audience focused on issues related to address the past and the current socio-economic situation, challenges and achievements, the livelihoods of citizens of the capital – the city of Dushanbe over the past 25 years of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

President Emomali Rahmon called today’s meeting a continuation of the creative action of the state leadership and the Government of Tajikistan on the path towards sustainable socio-economic development of Dushanbe city.

The Leader of the Nation pointed out that this meeting will create opportunities to find solutions to the existing problems, the development of new plans and programs to ensure the steady development of the capital.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon concretely ordered to responsible persons of the republican authorities and city structures to take urgent measures to solve problems addressing road transport, heating system, sewerage, public order, services for population, as well as market activities, shopping centers, health care, sports, schools, cultural and educational institutions, religion, control and regulation of national traditions and rituals.

In addition, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon paid a particular attention to enhancing the activity of public committees in all villages and mahallas of Dushanbe in order to creative and landscaping work in the capital.

President Emomali Rahmon, calling active participation in the activities on improvement, landscaping and steady development of the city of Dushanbe, the civic duty of every resident of the city of Dushanbe, once again appealed to fulfill this lofty mission seriously and with full responsibility.

In conclusion of today’s meeting between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the meeting participants, in particular entrepreneurs and activists of the capital, a frank and constructive exchange of views was held on important issues of everyday life and the prospects for further progress of the city of Dushanbe.

Afterwards, the Acting Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali expressed his gratitude to the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon for the constant support and concern.

The Acting Chairman of Dushanbe pointed out that under the instructions and recommendations of the Head of State the leadership of the local executive body of state authority of the city of Dushanbe would take all necessary measures for the improvement and prosperity of the country’s capital.
