Celebration of the 25th anniversary of the membership of Central Asian countries in the UN
DUSHANBE, 13.03.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On March 9, a solemn joint reception was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the membership of Central Asian countries in the UN (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan).
According to the MFA Information Department, the President of the United Nations General Assembly H.E. Mr. Peter Thomson has participated in and addressed the reception as an honored guest. This event was also attended by the Permanent Representatives of the UN member states, Heads and experts of various UN structures, as well as citizens and students of Tajikistan.
Within the framework of the event a photo exhibition was held, which was devoted to the cooperation of the Central Asian countries with the UN, including multilateral interaction of Tajikistan with this Organization.
